Malcolm has over 30 years experience in audit, risk, governance and control having built and lead UK and international teams. He has sector experience in retail and FMCG, distribution and logistics, financial services, entertainment, airlines and not for profit organisations backed up with Board Committee experience in housing and professional associations.
Previous to his current role as theGroup Internal Audit and Risk Director at Element Materials Technology, Malcolm ran his own independent audit and risk advisory firm specialising in set up, turnaround and development of internal audit and risk functions, particularly in the private equity sector.
He is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, holds an MBA from Henley Business School and a BCom in Accounting and Finance from the University of Birmingham.
Malcolm has a long-held interest in observational astronomy, lectures frequently on what is visible in the sky and on dark clear nights can be found peering up at the cosmos when more sensible people are tucked up in bed!
