Location: Surrey

Day Rates: Up to £400 a day inside IR35


Tax and Treasury Recruitment Specialists are delighted to be working on an exclusive role at a mutli-billion pound turnover Fortune 250 company. This company is a diversified US based industrial manufacturer with operations across the globe.


The role is a 6 month day rate contract, ideal for a tax professional who is looking to explore their contract options within a large multinational. You will be responsible for the UK tax compliance of UK operations while the Tax Manager focuses on more project based work. The Tax Manager will be working alongside you giving you the benefit of their support and expertise throughout the contract.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Corporation Tax returns for the ITW UK entities using Alpha Tax.

  • Assist with statutory tax note disclosures for UK companies under FRS102, tax provisioning process and provide support to the UK Tax Manager.

  • Updating the Tax function’s process and procedure manuals.

  • Be responsible for the collection and reconciliation of the annual WHT voucher process.

  • Analysis of tax calculations relating to UK R&D claims.

  • Preparation and analysis of UK tax compliance relating to UK CFC reviews and reporting, thin capitalisation, interest deductibility and group relief reporting.

  • Assist in producing UK tax technical analyses on key transactions.



I am looking for someone with:

  • · Appropriate Tax or Accounting qualification with 4 years of UK Tax experience gained either in practice, ideally a Big Four firm, and/or the Tax / Finance department of a major multinational

  • Significant tax experience within the UK (experience with UK CFC reporting as well as R&D claims, patent box or other related intangible experience is preferred)

  • Experience of US Tax Reporting is preferable

  • An ability to understand complex business structures and transactions

  • Able to manage multiple tasks, prioritize where necessary and push projects through to completion
