Tax and Treasury Recruitment Specialistsare working on a new opportunity with a global car manufacturer with operations within the UK and Europe. The VAT Manager role offers true responsibility over the management of the UK VAT obligations across all of the UK entities. This position involves working closely with the Head of Tax supporting on tax matters. Given the autonomy within the role my client is happy to consider Senior VAT Managers for the role.
As the VAT Manager you will have a diverse role with a split between compliance, advisory and strategy. This will include preparation of monthly and quarterly returns within the UK and returns filed to overseas tax authorities. You will also be the first point of contact in the business for VAT queries within the business with lots of involvement in UK and European VAT advisory projects and cross functional projects with other teams such as Purchasing and Customs. You will also have the ability to drive the strategy through implementation of tax planning opportunities.
I am looking for:
· ACA, CTA Qualified or relevant VAT experience within Manufacturing or an international high volume production organisation
· Experience working in a Multinational, practice firm or a tax authority
· Experience within compliance and advisory
· A minimum 5 years VAT experience
This role can be located across several locations including Watford, Milton Keynes and Sutherland with flexibility for the role to be carried out remotely.
